I first fell in love with Boxers when I went to work for Salgray Boxers. I was hired by Mrs. Phyllis Hamilburg to help care for the show dogs as well as run the new boarding and grooming kennel. I still work for the Hamilburg Guy’s part time, in the kennel as well as grooming.

In 1983 I purchased for $200 a white Boxer, daughter of Aja’s Time Loves a Hero C.D. Sch H I. She was to become Belco’s Penny the Nimon C.D.X. T.T. and was my companion for 11 ½ years.

Nimon opened the doors to boxerdom for me, I loved her sense of humor and her intelligence and willingness to learn. I also admired her independence and quick thinking.

I was hooked on this breed.

In 1986 I was lucky enough to acquire Dapper’s Dear Abby. This bitch became the foundation for Belco Boxers. Unfortunately a leg injury prevented her from finishing her championship. It did not however , prevent her from earning her C.D. and T.T. titles.

Abby was a typical dominant bitch who taught me a lot about Boxer behavior and temperment. Her strong drive and intelligence are evident still in her Belco descendants.
From the beginning I’ve felt health and temperment as well as beauty are important in our breed. I believe in health testing and all my dogs are holtered, echoed and hip xrayed before breeding.

I’ve had a twenty year journey through Boxerdom and am still enjoying my ride. I’m an owner handler as well as breeder and enjoy going to dog shows and seeing my Boxer friends. My dogs are my pets as well as show dogs and accompany me to work , to the barn and on family vacations. They sit on the couch with me as I read a book, ride in the car with me as I go on an errand and give me 100 % in the show ring. I always feel safe with my Boxers by my side and they bring me a smile as they greet me at the end of a long day. What more could I ask for!
